Spring Maintenance Tips

Keeping your home in good conditions and making the needed smaller repairs, can help prevent bigger and more costly repairs at a later date.

–Check sprinkler Systems.
–Turn on and off circuit breakers, Shutoff valves and test GFCI outlets. Check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries annually.
–Turn off gas furnace/fireplace pilot lights.

–Give the outside of your home a good power wash to remove the dirt and debris from winter, which will make it easier to spot problem areas that might be in need of repair.
–Inspect your home from top to bottom, looking for damage that occurred over the winter, both inside and out. Prepare a to-do list of needed repairs.
–Check doors and windows for proper operation. Lubricate hinges and tighten loose hinge screws.
